Allow camera and microphone access

Grant Chrome permission to use your camera and mic, and what to do when a site blocks them.

If Recordful shows "doesn't have permission", grant it once in Chrome:

Click the camera icon in the address bar.
Set Camera and Microphone to Allow for this site.
Reopen the Recordful popup and pick your devices again.

Some websites send a Permissions-Policy header that blocks all extensions from using the camera and microphone on that page. On those pages the recording still works, but the camera bubble stays hidden. Workaround: start the recording from another tab, then switch back to the page once recording has begun.

To test: open the popup, select a camera and microphone in the dropdowns, and check the preview bubble appears before you press record.
