What you can record
Tab, screen, camera, and custom area, and when to use each.
Open the popup and pick one:
- Tab area. Just the current tab, with optional tab audio. Best for demos and meetings.
- Screen. The whole monitor, an app window, or a region. Pick it in the Chrome share picker after pressing record.
- Camera. Camera only, for talking-head clips.
- Custom area. Drag a rectangle to record part of the page (needs Chrome 104+).

Keyboard shortcuts work while recording: Alt+Shift+G starts, Alt+Shift+X cancels, Alt+Shift+M pauses or resumes.
